Archil Talakvadze: The task and desire of Georgia, as a friendly country of Azerbaijan and Armenia, is to ensure stability, peace and security as much as possible

"We are closely watching this process and we hope that these escalations will be regulated," Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze told reporters while commenting on the developments between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

He expressed hope that the situation in the region will be normalized and there will be a calm and safe environment.

"As you know, our region is full of challenges. Unfortunately, Russia's policy has remained destructive for centuries and many conflicts are ongoing in the region. As for this particular case, the task and desire of Georgia, as a friendly country of Azerbaijan and Armenia, is to ensure stability, peace and security as much as possible," Talakvadze said.
