"In relation to the proposed bills from the opposition - I assume you're familiar with the agenda for this week - we have five draft laws to be examined, and three of these have been initiated by the opposition”, Shalva Papuashvili responded to the comments made by Member of Parliament Roman Gotsiridze, who accused the Georgian Parliament of disregarding opposition-initiated bills.
The Speaker clarified to Roman Gotsiridze that among the five items on the agenda, three are introduced by the opposition.
"Mr. Roman, Mr. Giorgi Vashadze is the presenter for two bills, and for one, it's Ms. Teona Akubardia and Mr. Armaz Akhvlediani. This sums up the situation, and we are hopeful that these two draft laws will proceed for discussion”, - Shalva Papuashvili affirmed.
During his speech in the parliamentary plenary session, Roman Gotsiridze, an MP from the Eurooptimists group, addressed members of the parliamentary majority, urging them to "cease artificially delaying the matters and impeding their public consideration”.
