Candidates for the position of minister are heard in the parliament. Today in the legislative body, the deputies will listen to the program of 7 ministerial candidates.

The discussion of the issue of the declaration of confidence in the Government of Georgia and the government program started at the joint session of the 4 Committees (Legal Issues, Human Rights Protection and Civil Integration, Defense and Security, and Procedural Issues and Rules), where the Ministry of State for Defense, Justice, Internal Affairs and Reconciliation and Civil Equality will listen to the candidates.

Today, the second session is scheduled with the participation of the education, science and youth affairs, culture, sports, health care and social affairs committees, where the deputies will listen to the candidates for the ministries of education, science and youth, culture and sports, as well as those displaced from the occupied territories, labor, health and social protection. Committee hearings are also scheduled for February 6 and 7. In addition, on February 7, the "National Movement-United Opposition" faction and opposition political groups will jointly listen to the new composition of the government, and on February 8 - the "Georgian Dream" and "People's Power" factions.On February 8, the session of the Bureau of the Parliament is scheduled, which, based on the conclusions of the committees and factions, will reflect the issue of the declaration of confidence in the composition of the Georgian government and the government program in the agenda of the plenary session of the Parliament. On the same day (February 8), the Parliament will discuss the updated composition of the Cabinet of Ministers and the government program at the plenary session. The Parliament shall consider and vote on the issue of the declaration of confidence in the composition of the Government of Georgia at the plenary session, in the manner established by the regulations for the consideration of the draft law in the first reading.

Let us remind you that "Georgian Dream" nominated Irakli Kobakhidze for the post of Prime Minister. The change in the Cabinet of Ministers only affected the Minister of Defense. Juansher Burchuladze will be replaced by Irakli Chikovani, the Majority Leader of Zugdidi, the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament.
