Elene Khoshtaria: On behalf of the "For Change" coalition, I would like to respond to the President's statement and express principled, full, unconditional support and loyalty to the "Georgian Charter"

On behalf of the Coalition for Change, I would like to respond to yesterday's statement by the President and express our principled, full, unconditional and unwavering support and loyalty to the "Georgian Charter", one of the leaders of the "Coalition for Change - Akhali, Girchi, It's Droa", Elene Khoshtaria, said at a briefing.

According to her, the content of the Charter very clearly responds to the historical challenge faced by the Georgian society and the political spectrum, which they view with great responsibility.

"On behalf of the Coalition for Change, I would like to respond to the President's statement yesterday and express my principled, full, unconditional and unwavering support and loyalty to the "Georgian Charter". Trust and faithfulness to one's word is a fundamental principle that we will not deviate from and which is the basis not only of the political process, but of building any free, just society in general. Therefore, we remain true to our word in this case.

In addition, the content of the Charter very clearly responds to the historical challenge that the Georgian society and political spectrum is facing. We take this very seriously.

First: the charter will bring us into Europe. It will return us to the path of Europe and make us a part of the space of peace and development that Georgia deserves.

Second: we fully deserve the principle of government formation mentioned in the charter. It is a non-party prime minister with a specific mandate and tasks, a limited interim government agreed with Europe, and it is a check on power, including a strong judiciary.

Next is this: fair elections, the preparation of which will be the main task of our coalition government. It will give back to our society the fundamental right to determine its own future.

And finally, it is the abolition of the "Russian Law" and all those Russian repressive institutions that the "Georgian Dream" established. It is because of these principled positions and content that we want to respond once again that we are not going to obey, but this is the political way that defines us and we will have many specific initiatives on this throughout the entire campaign", said Elene Khoshtaria.

Robin Wagener - With the law on "transparency of foreign influence", there will be no EU membership - No chance for that
Estonian Ambassador to Georgia - If we want EU membership, we should all play by the rules - The Georgian Government on the one hand says that they are moving closer to the EU, but their actions do not prove that
