"I see no need for a plebiscite; let’s call the elections a plebiscite. What our opponents say in this case is irrelevant because they do not express what aligns with Georgia’s national interests. If they do, it’s only to deceive the public, but the people are no longer fooled and they fail to realize this," said Gia Volski, First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, in response to the initiative by "United Neutral Georgia" to hold a plebiscite on European integration in parallel with local elections.
