Mikheil Sarjveladze: Whether Saakashvili participates in the court session from a medical institution or from a penitentiary institution, it will be absolutely the same - it is not worth juggling with legal norms

Whether Mikheil Saakashvili joins the court session from a medical institution or from a penitentiary institution will be absolutely the same - therefore, it is not worth juggling with legal norms - this is how the chairman of the human rights protection committee of the parliament, Mikheil Sarjveladze, responds to the request of the "For Georgia" party to transfer Saakashvili to prison.

According to Sarjveladze, the said initiative of Giorgi Gakharia's party is an attempt to disguise their alliance with the National Movement.

"We cannot consider any political party, including the Gakharia's party, to be the most competent people in discussing Mikheil Saakashvili's health condition.

From their side, starting a conversation about transferring Saakashvili to a penitentiary institution is an attempt to disguise the alliances that Gakharia's political party has with the National Movement.

This could be the purpose of the mentioned initiative. These two political teams cooperate with each other - this is how Gakharia's party started its work, continues like this and will continue like this in the future," said Mikheil Sarjveladze.
