If this government retains its power, Georgia will be completely isolated internationally, including from the financial and economic point of view, "EuroOptimists" MP Roman Gotsiridze told journalists.
According to him, it can be seen from all the messages that come from the West to Georgia that the "Georgian Dream" is an allied government of Russia, it is introducing an authoritarian regime of Belarusian government in the country and it should leave the government.
"From all the messages that are heard from the West - from the European Union, the USA, from individual states, we can draw one conclusion that this government is an allied government of Russia, it is introducing an authoritarian regime of Belarusian governance in the country, and this government must leave the government. In case this government retains its power, Georgia is expected to be completely isolated internationally, including from the financial and economic point of view. In fact, the country will lose all the inflows that came from abroad - credits, grants, aid and investments. GEL will drop in the country, prices will increase and the country will be empty. This is what our Western partners tell us, and at the same time, this is an eye-opener for those foolish people who still support the "Georgian Dream" in small numbers. The Georgian nation should not make an irreparable mistake. In case of falsification of elections and usurpation of power, the "Georgian Dream" will see well what will happen - the people will not forgive this", said Gotsiridze.
For information, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, said that the recent actions, statements and election promises of the ruling party in Georgia move the country away from the European path and indicate a transition to authoritarianism.
According to Borrel, the parliamentary elections will be a decisive test for democracy in Georgia and its path to the European Union.
